STARS @ THE HEADIES 2012~

As P-Square,  Wizkid emerge winners
All the hypes, all the permutations and the razzmatazz came to head on Sunday at Eko Hotel where the Headies 2012 held.

As many observers have pointed out, it was a night of surprises as some artistes who were never given a chance came out shinning, even at the expense of some notable acts who the odds favoured. Yet, some dyed-in-the-wool stars, stood their grounds to prove they are still very much around.
By and large, the great winners are P-Square, the sensational kid, Wizkid and Vector who bagged two awards respectively. The likes of D’Banj, 9ice, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Sound Sultan came calling even though they had a little less than they bargained for.

At least D’Banj would have a consolation of bagging the ‘Song of the Year’ with his ‘Oliver Twist’ album and better still, having to wrestle down P-Square, Davido, Iyanya and Chuddy K and wouldn’t feel any cool either for missing out on the ‘Album of the Year’ which P-Square won.

On the ‘Artiste of the Year’ category, the whole house rooted and rooted for the music sensation of the moment, Wizkid and when the cat was let out of the bag, it was indeed, the twenty-something young lad who came tops, flogging Ice Prince, P-Square, Naeto C. and D’Banj
