Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom Marries..

 

6ft 10inches tall Lamar Odom of L.A. Lakers just got married to Khloe Kardashian. I was surprised to hear it on E! News that, the couple who had been dating for only one month tied the knots during the weekend.

The 29-year-old basketball star and the 25-year-old reality TV starlet were married on Sunday at a private residence in Beverly Hills.

The bride was walked down the aisle by her stepfather, Bruce Jenner.
The wedding was attended by numerous stars, including older sisters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian.

At the beginning, it was Khloe, Kim and Kourtney and the rest of the family on the TV reality show 'Keeping up with the Kardashians', then the sisters got pissed cos Kim was getting all the attention and she(Kim) always said her sisters were jealous of her. The two sisters, Kourtney and Khloe moved to Miami and started their own reality show, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami.

now she hangs out with her BFF, Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett and now Khloe is married, lol. I am not gonna say what I think these sisters are trying to do, lol. Maybe they are trying to get more attention to themselves than their baby sister is by pulling these publicity stunts,lol, anyways, I wish the newly-weds a long and happy marriage.
Lamar Odom is a man on the rise. He continues to shine on the basketball court, as an entrepreneur, and as a father to his children, Destiny and Lamar Jr.

Who's Nigeria's TV Talkshow queen?

 

Watching Agatha Amata on her program Inside Out, with the topic of the show focussing on if GPRS tracking on your mobile phone actually works in Nigeria, and with a panel that include a mobile phone whizkid (to show the viewers how to navigate on a mobile phone), a local government town planning official (for the accuracy of the streets listed) and a Policeman (to see if this new technology can help fight crime, or which major road is best to set up shop for "Happy Sunday"), I start to think, we need more programs like these.

   As far as I know (please correct me if I'm wrong) there are 3 top female TV talkshow hosts of note in Nigeria; Funmi Iyanda of New Dawn, Mo Abudu of Moments with Mo and the aforementioned Agatha Amata of Inside Out. These 3 ladies I have met before, and I have actually appeared as a guest on Funmi Iyanda's New Dawn some 4 years ago.

   In the United States of America, the Nielsen Ratings has continually rated the Oprah Winfrey Show as the top TV talkshow for so long now you would think the likes of Rikki Lake, Sally Jesse Raphael and the new comers Tyra Banks, Ellen DeGeneres, Racheal Ray and Chelsea Lately don't exist.

Although the 3 Nigerian TV talkshow hosts mentioned above have their individual styles, and I'm sure also have their focus and aims for their respective shows, I can't help but wonder who the people think is the Queen of talkshows in Nigeria. What makes a talkshow worth watching, does it have to benefit the society educationally or otherwise, or just to entertain by interviewing celebs and talking about women's issues only. Does presenting style even matter? Agatha stands in the crowd while talking to guests on "stage", Mo sits with her guests most of the time (except for when she leans forward to do the double cheek kiss kiss darling thing as the guests come on), and Funmi, although sits with the guests most of the time has experimented with the studio crowd a few times.

 

   While Agatha is very "Naija" in her approach (she even drops pidgin sometimes), Mo is very posh in her outlook, pronunciation of certain words and her set is to die for. With Funmi Iyanda, she's very matter-of-fact direct with her raspy (sexy) voice and seem to command a lot of respect from her guests and fans. I really can't say which talkshow host is the best because all 3 have different shows and purpose, but as we live in a world of charts, brand positioning and who's No.1, I'm really curious if one of these 3 women can be accorded that title of the Queen of talkshows in Nigeria.

MONALISA CHINDA DRAGS HUSBAND TO POLICE STATION PASSES HIM DIVORCE NOTICE

 

Star actress and newly endorsed GLO ambassador,Monalisa Chinda dragged her estranged husband,Segun Dejo-Richard to the Anthony police station on Tuesday, September 1, 2009

Dejo who has been telling all who cares to listen that he would do anything to settle whatever rift he has with his wife amicably, was jolted with shock.

Monalisa had gone to make formal report at the police station. She wanted to get her Nissan 2008 car from the house. She bought the car shortly after she was paid some money by Globacom, a leading telecom company in Nigeria. She was accompanied to the station by some family members.

No one in their wildest imagination would believe that all these would be happening so soon for actress, Monalisa Chinda and her Husband Segun Dejo Richard. Those who are close to them would tell you that they have been best of friends.

In several interviews published in the media, the actress affirmed that nothing in this world could make her trade her husband for anything. She said if she returns to this world, she would come back and marry Segun again.
   We reported some days back that she has already slammed her husband with a divource notice.She wrote him through her lawyer,Mr.Festus Keyamo.
 While discussing with some colleagues at Night Shift Coliseum, Lagos, this afternoon, many of them expressed rude shock because theirs was like a role model celebrity marriage. Many people wanted to be like them.
  A mutual friend of the family disclosed that agreed things are not really moving on too well with Segun and his purse his lean at the moment but is it enough reasons for Monalisa to leave her husband?Afterall, when he was rolling in money, he did not abadon Monalisa so why is she doing all this?
  Another question here is that Monalisa could have joined the league of go-go actresses who believe so much in just enjoying life without looking back or thinking of the future."Monalisa is close to two Vivian Ejike and Emem Isong who are single mothers.I think all she wanted to do is to be free like them" said another person.
  I was shocked today when i saw someone weeping over a failed marriage in the movie industry. A female journalist who got so emotional about the whole thing started shedding tears.From what we gathered today, Segun is doing all to get his wife back. He thinks she has been listening to negative counsel.Now that sh has been made a super millionaire by glo endorsement deal, she decided to pull out of the wedding.
  gistmaster.com gathered that Mr.Kool, a musician and brother-in-law, once slapped Monalisa over an argument.As if that was not enough, Monalisa's younger sister also slapped Segun on the day they were doing their baby's naming christening last year. Isn't that sad enough!
 At this point, many people are sceptical over whether or not Glo would not suspend her contract with them because of the negative publicity.In case you don't know, Mercy Johnson allegedly lost the glo contract because of scandal.One reason she would never forgive Halima!!!

The event took place last Friday at Club Papas under the direction of man about town, Frank Okamigbo.The event attracted hot chics and big boys in town.Tuface Idibia,MI,Mercy Aigbe,Anita Joseph,DJ Bally Clef and others attended the function.

      Bigiano, who shot into prominence with the song 'shayo' as driven to driven to the venue in a classy Limousine with plate number 'VICOLA'.

      Shayo won two awards at the last Soundcity Music Video Awards. Bigiano dedicated the award to his fans, friends and supporters. The video of the hit song was shot in Jo'burg South Africa.

Recently, one of Nollywood stars was attacked and beaten as a result of the politics going on in the Movie terrain.

The Actors’ Guild of Nigeria is an organisation whose out-going president Ejike Asiegbu was meant to vacate office last month but was granted an extension.

The extension was granted by Kanayo who is a the head of the committee meant to oversee the hand-over and possibly a new election.

The members got angry on hearing that Kanayo was granting Asiegbu an extension in terms of vacating his office.

TIMAYA MOURNS DAD

Not many knew his dad but many still mourn with him.

There are stages in life that are difficult to accept or comprehend.

Timaya made a name for himself out of nothing but still shocked at the death of his loved father. His thought was that it was time for his dad to witness his son’s rise to the top. But as nature does, he died at the age of 76 in July.

The father has filed kidnapping charges against her in a U.S. court, which are still pending. Obasanjo also reportedly owes her ex-husband $35,000 in unpaid child support and is on an Interpol watch list.After coming home, she decided to go into the family business: abuse of power and graft. After serving as health commissioner in her father’s government, Obasanjo was elected to the Nigerian Senate in 2006, where she proceeded to take full advantage of the office. In 2006, Obasanjo reportedly accepted thousands of dollars in bribes, including a Toyota Land Cruiser, from an Austrian company in exchange for using her connections to help it bid on energy contracts with her father’s government. She is also accused of withdrawing $85,000 from Nigeria’s meager health budget for personal use. Obasanjo has described the accusations as “blackmail.”

“My first album sold 3 million!” – J. Martins

From producer to artiste, J. Martins is now celebrating the success of his first solo album titled ‘Get Serious’.
The stand alone ‘J’ in J.Martins is his initial for Justice, who has been a producer and songwriter for over a decade producing artistes songs that I’m sure you have heard!
He became an artiste himself releasing his first single titled ‘So Fly’ that didn’t quite fly but fortunately his second single was a hit and saved his music career from flopping! ‘Good or bad’ today is almost a national anthem with its’ catchy hook and awesome beat!

J. Martins described himself, ‘I’m the quiet type which means I could be a bit laid back.’ He went on to say, “I’m not the talking type but then I associate.”
The artiste comes from Abia State and spoke of his album. “Get Serious is my first album and we’re talking about an album that sold nothing less than 3 million. It came out on 5th September and six weeks from that day, it crossed over a million copies.”

‘Good or Bad’ was written by J. Martins accompanied by Timaya, P-Square and Jude Okoye. ”I knew the song was going to blow up without even thinking about it. I wasn’t taken by surprise. The truth about songs is that if you get it, you know you have it. The bottom line of success of any song is not necessarily the song itself or the people on the song. The most important thing about it (my own project) is that God personally blessed it. Its not an easy thing to achieve in Nigeria where there are over a million studios with people recording day in, day out.”

J. Martins discussed how he knows when a song is a hit, “Basically, from the beat first. When you make a great beat, you know. Like one of my friends, Peter of P-Square will say : If you’ve got the beat right, the next thing is the lyrics. And once you’ve got a good hook, you’ve got it all.”
‘Good or Bad’ was a collaboration and the collabos were chosen by who would suit the song best. There is a close resemblance with ‘Do Me’ and a likeness for Timaya’s voice.
